The Wild Animal Sanctuary has opened two great food establishments for the benefit of its visiting guests - as well as for the people living in the area of Hudson & Keenesburg.

The Lion's Den Café is open 7 days a week from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM The Sanctuary's Ice Cream Shop is open 7 days a week from 9:00 AM to SUNSET (which changes weekly). Our winter hours for each venue are posted below for your information when visiting - or for stopping by to pick up your order to go.

The Lion's Den Cafe has lots of hot ready-made items to eat - such as pasta dishes, soups and pizza - as well as a fully-stocked salad bar. We also offer a wide array of Grill Items such as Hamburgers, Steak Sandwiches, Reuben Sandwiches, French Fries, Onion Rings, Nachos and a whole host of other items that you can order hot and fresh off our grill!

People who are not coming to visit the animals, and just want a great place to eat - or to order food to-go - love the Sanctuary's Lion's Den Cafe and Ice Cream Shop!

The Lion's Den Café is designed so that people choose their food and then go outside the Café to eat in the Welcome Center's Central Picnic Area - or on any of our many upper decks. Families, friends, and coworkers have plenty of options to sit together to enjoy their meal, or they can simply choose to order food to go.

The Welcome Center also offers a VIP Deck and private banquet room for parties and private get-togethers, so if you are interested in having a special event at the Sanctuary, please email us or send a comment below.

NOTE ** During the Summer, the Welcome Center is a great place to eat, with many options for warm and comfortable seating. However, during the Winter, seating is moved inside the Lion's Den Café, with space being limited.
